Document Comparison and Reporting 
This tool compares two versions of a FrameMaker document and provides users with a composite and/or summary report that identifies the differences in each version. The composite report identifies version differences using both change bars and conditional text. The summary report is a hyperlinked document that identifies document changes and the number of times they occur. 

Change Bars 
Document reviewers can quickly and easily see what has been revised in a document that uses the FrameMaker software change bar feature. Change bar settings include width, color, and location. 

Math Equations 
FrameMaker allows you to create typeset equations with a complete palette of math characters, symbols, and functions, and to place these equations anywhere in the document. 

Tables 
FrameMaker offers a full-featured, integrated table editor that allows you to save and reuse table formats, not just specify the number of rows and columns. FrameMaker provides alternating row shading, repeating headers and footers, rotated text, custom rules, cell merges, and cells that straddle multiple columns. 

Automatic Numbering 
With FrameMaker you can define multiple independent numbering series within a single document and include formatted text as part of the autonumber. Autonumber paragraphs, tables, figures, and pages across chapters in a book using a wide variety of numbering options including Roman numerals and upper- and lowercase letters. 

Graphics 
Place graphics in anchored frames that flow with the text or position graphics directly on a page with automatic text runarounds. Alignment, grouping, distribution, transform, fill, line, and pattern options let you control every aspect of a drawing. FrameMaker software also supports spot and process color separations and the creation of custom colors using industry-standard color models. 

Book Functionality 
Use FrameMaker to assemble multiple files from various contributors in one book. Automatically generate Tables of Contents, indexes, lists, chapter numbers, and page numbers quickly and easily. 

Automatically Generate Lists 
Create a table of contents, index, or other list by extracting information (usually headings, page numbers, and marker text) from a document or book. As the book content changes, FrameMaker can quickly update the generated files.
