Auction & Marketplace Creator Program General Support

  • Running Auction, Marketplace, Classifieds & StoreBuilder at NT Website

    Why I receive ODBC Driver error message while running the web system on my NT website?

    When you are using the Program Wizard to create your web system, the system will look up the "default" local database (mdb) file path name that may cause this error message from the web server on website:

    Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error "80004005"
    [Microsoft] [ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] 'unknown' is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides.

    To avoid this server message, please use Wordpad or Notepad to open the 'OpenDatabase.ASP' or 'OpenDB.ASP' file in the installed folder. We take C2C Forward Auction Creator as an example.

    Change this line from local path:

    fpath="DBQ=C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\c2cforwardw\C2CForwardAuction\C2CForwardAuction.mdb"

    To:

    fpath="DBQ="&Server.MapPath("\c2cforwardw\C2CForwardAuction\C2CForwardAuction.mdb")

    "/" or "\" is recognizable by web server. Please make sure your [c2cforwardw] folder and its [C2CForwardAuction] subfolder are located at your web server root directory or at C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\

    Run the web system again and the system should be running fine in your web server. Email support@greatshop.com if you have any program question.

  • Running WebStore Creator 4.0 at NT Website:

    Why I need to change Database Mapping Location to Server Location in Website?

    When you used the creator to build your web store system, the database file was pointed to your local installed web store directory, by default. If you want to run the web store system in your website, please make some modifications on the database mapping location codes:

    You can use Word Pad or Note Pad program to open the following 8 ‘ASP’ files:

    Viewprod.asp, Typeadmin.asp, Search2.asp, Productadmin.asp, Orderadmin.asp, Opendb.asp, Adds.asp, and Morder.asp,

    Replace this line:

    fpath="DBQ=c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\webstore\product.mdb"

    With:

    fpath="DBQ="&server.mappath("\webstore\product.mdb")

    This will change the local database file mapping locations to relative server locations on website. We assumed that your web store system files were located and saved in the [webstore] folder, right at the web server root directory.

    Save ALL asp files after modifications . Upload all web store 4.0 system and database files to your website. Run the web store system as instructed in the User Guide file and use the web store system properly at your web site.

  • How to Round Up the Total to Two Decimal Points in Webstore Creator 3.0:

    1. The asp file required to be changed is 'morder.asp'. Please use Wordpad to open this file, and look up and edit the line to:

    rs("psum") =round( Trim(Request.Form("ns")(i)),2)

    The number will be rounded up to only two decimal numbers in database file.

    2. The JS file required to be changed is 'proshop.js'. Please use Wordpad to open this file, and look up and edit the line (add the second line) to:

    finalSum = currency(grandTotal)*(1+(8.25+0)/100);
    finalSum = currency(finalSum);

    The number will be rounded up to only two decimal numbers in shopping cart check-out.
